Hello everyone! My name is Cole Leighton, and I am a Co-Founder of Rooted. A little bit about myself is I was born and raised in Shakopee, MN and grew up with a passion of sports and starting my own business. I love baseball and have played my entire life! Like many others I enjoy trying different sports and spending time learning them with my friends and family.

Hi, I’m Lucas Elsesser, born and raised in Blaine, Minnesota. Growing up, I developed a passion for athletics—running, weightlifting, and high-performance acrobatics. With the support of my parents and two brothers, I learned the value of hard work and perseverance in every pursuit.
Fueled by that mindset, I set out to create something new. Combining my passion with a relentless drive, I co-founded Rooted with Cole—an opportunity to innovate, grow, and build something meaningful. I’m excited for the journey ahead and to share it with all of you.

We met in college, but it wasn’t until junior year, when we ended up in the same house with a group of friends-that we really connected over a shared vision. We both wanted more than just off-the-rack fashion; we wanted to create something of our own.
What started as casual conversations turned into a mission: to build a brand that reflects originality, passion, and quality. Today, that vision drives everything we do, delivering clothing designed for those who value authenticity and purpose.
